Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the captioned rubber bladder by which a turn-up edge can be completely pressed to the side of a mold drum during a molding process by a method wherein an elastic member for pressing a special turn-up edge is provided on the external circumferential surface of a bladder body.
CONSTITUTION: When a bladder 1 is turned up, an elastic member 2 for pressing a turn-up edge 5a having the width W enough to cover the turn-up edge 5a of a carcass ply 5 is provided on the external circumferential surface of the bladder body 1 to form a rubber bladder for molding a tire. The carcass ply 5 is stuck on a molding drum 4, then a bead-setting ring 8 is moved in the right direction, a plydown finger 6 and a bead 7 are set and then the bladder body 1 is inflated to be plied up. Then, as a plydown finger 6 is being pressed to the side of the molding drum 4, the bladder body 1 is deflated and the turn-up edge 5a is pressed by the reversed elastic member 2 to the molding drum 4.
