Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a miniature and light-weight antenna with its vertical face directive properties formed into a desired pattern, by causing the TM11 mode resonance on a conductor thin plate and then forming an asymmetrical slot between a conductor substrate and the conductor thin plate. CONSTITUTION:A circular conductor thin plate 5 with a radius selected at a measurement to cause the TM11 mode resonance is set into a circular cavity of a conductor substrate 6 so as to form a ring-shaped slot. Then the high frequency electric power is supplied to the plate 5 from an energizing source via a connector 3 and a conductor bar 4. Thus the directive properties is also secured in the vertical direction by the coexistence of the directive properties of radiation caused by the TM11 mode resonance and the directive properties of radiation caused by the slot. Furthermore the plat 5 is attached with eccentricity to the center of the circular cavity provided at the substrate 6, and a slot 7 is set wider than a slot 8. At the same time, the intensity of electric field radiated from the slot 8 is set less intensive than that from the slot 7 to secure the directive properties deflected to the left.
