Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a converter which can supply a constant voltage independently of a load, by controlling a parallel impedance element provided at the input terminal by an output voltage signal. CONSTITUTION:The output of a constant-current source J is connected to an input terminal, and an output signal is detected by a voltage divider R, and the output signal and a reference voltage VS are compared with each other by an error comparator Q, and an impedance variable element RV is controlled by this error signal. By connecting the constant current, a voltage VO=nVS is applied to a load RL independently of th load. In this case, (n) is the voltage division ratio of the voltage divider R. At this time, if the input current is denoted as I, a current I-VO/RL is by-passed to the impedance variable element RV. Thus, the input current is by- passed to the impedance variable element in accordance with the load resistance to achieve the function keeping the load voltage constant.
