Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the load sensor for press machine characterized by a simple structure, inexpensive cost, and high accuracy, by making a permanent magnet and a Hall element face to each other which are provided at the tip of an actuating plunger, and sensing the displacement of the load as the variation in magnetic flux density by the Hall element. CONSTITUTION:A cover 12, which holds a plunger 11 so that it can freely come out and in, is fixed to the top surface of a main case 5 of a sensor main body. The actuating plunger 14 is contacted with the inner end of the plunger 11 and has the permanent magnet 15 which is adjacent to a Hall IC9 in a recessed part 8 of a fixed case 6 in the sensor main body case 5. The actuating plunger 14 is arranged so as to pierce the upper wall of the main body case 5. When a load is applied to a sensing rod 2 of said sensor, the plunger 11 which is supported by a spring 17 comes out and in and is displaced. Therefore, the distance between the permanent magnet and the Hall IC9 of the actuating plunger 14 is displaced. Variation in magnetic fluxes is outputted as a voltage from the Hall IC9, thereby said voltage is measured and the value of the load is obtained.
