Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively remove a small amount of ozone present in air by providing a powdery ozone decomposer on the frontal side and each through hole of a plate in which countless through holes are arranged closely and in honeycombed manner in thickwise direction.
CONSTITUTION: Countless square through holes 2 are orderly arranged in the surface layer of a square plate filter 1 in such a way as to pierce the through holes in the thickwise direction of the plate filter. Powdery ozone decomposer catalyst 3 is adsorbed on the inner walls of the through holes 2. Air containing ozone is passed through the plate filter 1 in its thickwise direction, during which the air is contacted with the ozone decomposer 3 adhered to the inner walls of the through holes 2 and ozone present is decomposed. The plate filter having a honeycombed structure is usually made of paper, a synthetic resin, a metal fiber, etc., but may be suitably made of porous sintered body.
