Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the limit frequency of high-frequency range reproduction and to decrease a resonance peak by sticking skin materials, which is each made of mica and thermosetting resin, to both the sides of a core material formed by folding a metallic thin film radially and by further sticking SiC layers. CONSTITUTION:Long-sized Al foil having 20mum thickness and 9mm. width is folded alternately at the center part and outer circumference of a circle and arranged radially to form a core material having 3.5cm diameter. On the upper and lower edges of the core material 1, circular skin materials 2 and 2' are stuck by using adhesives 3 and 3'. Those skin materials 2 and 2' are made of 20mum thickness thin composite films 4 and 4' obtained by curing mica and epoxy resin over heating and pressing and 1mum thickness SiC layers 5 and 5' stuck on the surfaces of the thin films 4 and 4' by a high-frequency sputtering method. Those skin materials 2 and 2' have greater specific elasticity than the Al foil, and greater internal loss as well. Therefore, the resonance frequency of a diaphragm for high frequency range formed as mentioned above is increased, a sound pressure peak at the resonance frequency is decreased.
