Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent recording paper from having blanks by intercepting the transmission of either driving force when receiving the mutually opposite driving forces from a pulse motor and a rotary knife-edge driving device. CONSTITUTION:As a series of recording operations is completed and recording paper 29 is fed to a cutting position, the recording paper 29 is cut by a rotary knife edge 5 applied with a driving force by a control circuit which is not in the figure. Then, the rotary knife-edge shaft 5' is driven to rotate once and an idle cam gear 11 engaging with the cutter gear 12 of the shaft 5' is driven. This gear 11 moves as shown by an arrow C along a cam line and then engages with and drives a rear-side roller reverse gear 10. This gear 10 rotates a rear-side roller rib 9 in the opposite direction to the rotating direction of a pulse motor 1 by frictional force with a friction member 19 to reverse a driving roller, thereby returning recording paper 29 as shown by an arrow B. When the gear 10 is driven while the motor 1 is rotating normally, a slip is caused between the gear 10 and member 19 to transmit no rotating force to a pulley 9.
