Abstract

PURPOSE: To assure a safety of a combustion control device by a method wherein a sequence of operation is always set to a safe operation even if any contact point of relay is fused.
CONSTITUTION: In case that the control point 1K2 is melted and fused, the fan motor is apt to be kept operated, the air pressure switch AF is set at NO when energized, so that the relay 1K may not be operated and no energization is found. In case that AF is fused under its turned-ON condition, a similar operation is also found. In case that the contact point 2K4 is melted, the contact point 2K2 is kept OFF, so that the fan is not operated even if the relay 1K is operated. In case that the contact point 2K2 is melted and fused, ignition operation is not made due to OFF-condition of the contact point 2K4. In turn, even if the contact point 1k3 is fused, the main burner is not ignited due to OFF-condition of the contact point 1K4, and even if the contact point 1K4 is fused, both the pilot burner valve 4 and the ignition unit 6 are not operated. Further, even if the contact point 3K1 is fused, the ignitor unit 6 is not operated and also even if the contact point 3K2 is fused, the main burner valve 5 is not opened.
