Abstract
PURPOSE:To quickly, exactly and adjustably set the gap of faces of embracing steel materials following to variations of many kinds of similar cross sections of steel materials, by installing a multistage opening and closing driver for roller holders set on an inductive guide, for the purpose of stepwise opening and closing a pair of rollers set at the tips of roller holders. CONSTITUTION:When the gap of guide rollers 1, 1 is to be constricted from the illustrated present condition by a four-step gap adjuster, for example, a rod 5' is extended to the illustrated right side by a cylinder 5. A slide cam 4, being connected with the rod 5', is then pushed to slide along a guide bar 4'; hereby, spindles 6, 6 which are touching a part of breadth A of the cam 4 are extended simultaneously to the left and the right till either one of breadths B-D. As a result, push screws 8 and one ends of roller holders 2 are extended by swinging around fulcrum pins 2 so that the gap of rollers 1, 1 is constricted. The stroke of the rod 5' is adjusted by a limit switch, etc., correspondingly to respective stepwise position of the cam 4.
