CONSTITUTION: A mold "Sporotrichum cellulophilum" AJ-6986 (FERM-P3514) having the following mycological properties, strong cellulase-producing properties, the colorless color tone of spore, and the growth temperature range of 25W50°C, and a variant, "Sporotrichum cellulophilum" AJ-6987 (FERM-P3696) obtained by the ordinary variation induction treatment of the mold as a parent mold, having resistance to glucose analog and cellulase producing ability 2W4 times that of the parent mold.
