PURPOSE: To obtain a low-alloy heat-resistant Cr-Mo steel with superior creep embrittlement resistance by preparing a steel contg. a specified percentage of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Mo, a specified rare earth element and Y.
CONSTITUTION: A steel consisting of ≤0.30% C, 0.05W0.90% Si, 0.20W1.50% Mn, 0.40W1.60% Cr and 0.40W0.65% Mo as basic components, 0.01W0.2% of ≥1 kinds of elements selected from rare earth elements having 57W71 atomic number and Y, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is prepared. This steel maintains its high creep ductility especially even in the long-time creep rupture of the weld heat-affected zone.
