Abstract
PURPOSE:To further effectively control the stoppage of a synchronizer by supplying direct current to both the field coil of the synchronizer and to the induction motor connected to the synchronizer to regeneratively brake it, thereby remarkably shortening the stopping time of the synchronizer as compared with the conventional one. CONSTITUTION:A breaker 13 is opened by a stop command to separate a synchronizer 1 from a system at the stop controlling time, and a breaker 12 is opened to stop the supply of a direct current from a thyristor exciter 9 to the field coil. When a connector 26 is switched to a braking firing angle controlling circuit 27 and a braker 28 is thrown, a direct current outputted from the exciter 9 to an induction motor 2 mechanically connected to the synchronizer 1 to regeneratively brake it, and after the field current is then attenuated, a braker 30 is made ON, a breaker 12 is consecutively turned ON to regeneratively brake the synchronizer 1, and both motor 2 and the synchronizer 1 are simultaneously regeneratively braked.
