Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate cleaning of surface of an object to be tested, by arranging a suction nozzle in the neighborhood of a penetration liquid jet nozzle and a cleaning liquid jet nozzle so that the penetration liquid and the cleaning liquid on the surface of the work can be sucked and removed. CONSTITUTION:In the case of conducting flaw-detecting operation on a welded section 13 by an automatic penetration flaw detecting device A, while shifting the device A as a whole along a guide rail 15 by driving a travelling motor 24, colored penetration liquid is sprayed onto the welded section 13 by driving a penetration liquid jetting device 18 in order to allow this liquid to penetrate into flaw, such as cracks, etc., which exist in the welded section 13. And then, a cleaning liquid jetting device and a section device are driven. And then, the penetration liquid which adhered on the surface of the welded section 13 is removed by the cleaning liquid, and the penetration liquid and the cleaning liquid flowing down from the welded section 13 are sucked and removed by a suction nozzle 36 of the suction device. Now, when the welded section 13 is drived, the section which has the penetration liquid is detected as a flaw.
