Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out the effective bonding of an adherend having rugged or porous surface, by interposing a bond-assisting material composed of a flexible substrated attached with a cure accelerator between the surface to be bonded and said adherend, and applying the titled adhesive dropwise to the surface to be bonded or the surface of the bond-assisting material.
CONSTITUTION: A flexible substrate (e.g. absorbent cotton, surfacing mat, etc.) attached with a cure-accelerator (e.g. sodium carbonate, diethanolamine, etc.) is interposed as a bond-assisting material between the surface to be bonded and the adherend, pref. at the circumferential part of the surface. An α-cyanoacrylate adhesive [containing an α-cyanoacrylic acid ester monomer of formula (R is 1W16C alkyl, cyclohexyl, alkenyl, etc.) as an active component] is applied dropwise to the surface to be bonded or to the bond-assisting material, and the material is bonded to the surface.
USE: Suitable for the bonding or temporary bonding of a wall panel such as plaster board, decorative plywood board, etc. to the surface of concrete, mortar, etc.
