Abstract

PURPOSE: To intensify suction force for ensuring tansfer of steel pipes in a device for transferring the steel pipes on an inclined rail with magnetic suction by providing two magnetizing coils in identical magnetic poles.
CONSTITUTION: Two magnetizing coils 11a, 11b are arranged in main magnetic poles 12a disposed on a magnetic frame 13 to intensify magnetomotive force for a steel pipe transferring device. The upper surface of the magnetic pole 12 is slanted to a skid rail 1 so that steel pipes 10 are transferred from point A to point B by sequentially changing over magnetization while being sucked magnetically. Thus, while power consumption is doubled by disposing two magnetizing coils, magnetic suction is intensified by 7 times. Further, auxiliary magnetic poles 12b are arranged at both sides to supplement the suction force.
