Abstract

PURPOSE:To determine the position of a lens system at a high speed by abutting a stopping member which is moved stepwise based on a focusing signal on a position regulating member moving together with a photographic lens. CONSTITUTION:A lens barrel 22 of a photographing lens 21 is extended with an energizing spring 25 between the same and the fixing pin 24 of a camera body 23, and said lens barrel 22 is fixed with a position regulating member 26. A step cam 27 having 7 steps of position regulating surfaces 27a-27g is formed on the rear end side of the member 26. The lens barrel 22 having the member 26 moves in an arrow (a) direction cooperatively with the winding operation of a film, thereby energizing the spring 25 and locking this device. When a release button is depressed from this state, the device is unlocked, and is reset and moved in the direction of an arrow (b) by the energizing force of the spring 25.
