PURPOSE:To narrow the space of a rear cover and to reduce the photographic fog of a film by disposing an infrared ray emitting body and a photodetector on the camera body side and disposing an optical guide member on the rear cover side in the titled device using perforation detecting system. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting body 21 and a photodetector 22 are disposed on the camera body side near the traveling path of a film 1, and a light guide member 23 for conducting the light of the body 21 to the photodetector 22 is disposed on the rear cover side. When winding operation of a film begins on operating of an electric circuit 31, the body 21 emits infrared light. The infrared light is derived through an optical transmission port 23b in a horizontal direction as shown by an arrow from an optical transmission port 23a by the member 23. this light passes through a perforation 2 and through the through-hole 29 on a camera body 28, and is detected by the photodetector 22. At this time, pulse photocurrent flows in the photodetector 22. Hence, this pulse current is counted by a prescribed number in the electric circuit 31, whereby the rate of winding for one frame of the film 1 is determined.
