Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a heat exchanger from corrosion due to acid dew condensation and reduce the temperature of waste gas from the outlet of the heat exchanger to enable effective heat recovery by injecting calcium carbonate or calcium hydroxide powder into the waste gas in an incenerator and mixing them.
CONSTITUTION: Incinerated ash or the like is removed from the waste gas from a boiler (dust incenerator) through a cyclone 2 and supplementary and recovered CaCO3 injected from an exhaust nozzles 5 and 6 respectively are mixed and led to the drum of the 1st stage heat exchanger 3. The waste gas drives a generator turbine 7 and is condensed by a condensor 9; after making the temperature of drain from an inlet 3 rise, the waste gas is sent to the boiler. The heat-recovered waste gas is led to the drum of the 2nd stage heat exchanger 9, makes the temperature of the air from a blower 9a rise and is sent to the combustion part of the boiler. Thus, the effective heat held by the waste gas is completely recovered and SO2 or SO3 included in the waste gas is desulfurized by reacting it with CaCO3 powder which is in contact with it in turburent flow or flowing layer status.
