Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a waste incinerating method, which is capable of removing noxious gas and heavy metals produced in incnerating waste in economical and energy-saving manner, making them easy to handle by solidifying the same, preventing elution of noxious heavy metals, and enabling to reuse them.
CONSTITUTION: Waste or refuse introduced from waste pit 20 into incinerator 1 via inlet port 3 is incinerated and discharged to ash pit 22. Combustion gas produced in the above process is passed through flue 25 and air pre-heater 7 to counterflow type adsorption reaction tower 9, where slurry of slaked lime is supplied from spray nozzle 8 to adsorb hydrogen chloride and sulfur oxides contained in the exhaust combustion gas. Exhaust gas in reaction tower 9 is passed through heat recovering means 10, dust collecting means 11 and suction fan 19 and discharged to the outside from funnel 12. On the other hand, dust and slaked lime separated from the exhaust gas are sent to granulating means 13 and cakes thus obtained are solidified in auto clave 14.
