Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of a pile as well as secure the sufficient bearing force of the pile by settling a steel pipe concentrically at the tip part of a hollow pile and then penetrating the tip of the pile into the support layer by a striking force.
CONSTITUTION: A steel pipe 2 is concentrically placed for reinforcement at the tip part of an open-ended concrete hollow pile 1. The pile is erected down to near a support layer by internal excavation method, and then the tip of the pile 1 is penetrated into the support stratum by striking force. In this work, since the reinforcement of the pile 1 is limited within a necessary range, the cost of the pile can be reduced, and also since the breakdown of the pile 1 by striking can be prevented, the bearing force of the pile can be secured.
