Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled fiber in which the hollow part is provided to separate the core into plural sections and at least a few sections are bonded with the sheath at the side surface, thus including extremely fine filaments of modified cross section and giving unique luster and touch.
CONSTITUTION: Multicomponent fiber is made so that it is composed of at least three components of A, B, and C where the component B divides the component A into a plurality of modified cross sections (not round cross secrion) by coming between the sections of the component A and the component C that is releasable from the component A surrounds the core part or the component C that is adhesive to the component A surrounds the core part so as to adhere at least partially to the components A and B. Then, the component B is removed to produce the objective fiber in which the core part A is divided into a plurality of filaments of modified cross section by the hollow part P.
EFFECT: Fabrication is not prohibited by the inside filament bundle coming out of the sheath.
