Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the starting property and the stability of speed governing by a method wherein the positional relation between the upper rims of an oil supplying port and a spill port is determined so that both of them are coincided with the inclination of a plunger or the spill port is closed slightly earlier. CONSTITUTION:In an injection pump having the plunger 7 being formed the lead thereof for beginning of discharging with an inclination so as to hasten the timing of the beginning of discharging at a discharging amount increasing side, the development diagram of the plunger lead is determined as described hereunder. The spill port 30 and the oil supplying port 15 are arranged in such a relative position wherein the upper rims of respective ports are coincided on the line of the fore lead 7a of the plunger 7 or the spill port 30 is closed slightly earlier than the oil supplying port 15. Upon starting an engine, the pressure in a cylinder chamber is increased from a crank angle theta2 wherein the spill port 30 is closed perfectly by the upper rim of the plunger 7 and the beginning of the fuel injection is delayed geometrically by theta1-theta2. According to this method, the starting property of the engine may be improved.
