Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A push-button dial telephone set shown in the drawing is connected to communication lines CO1-COn such as main lines and to communication busy idle indicating lines L1-Ln together with other many push-button dial telephone sets with the similar configuration. If a line selecting button is hooked so as to be off just after depressing it at the time of outgoing operation, one of line selection button depression detecting circuits 2 generates a signal and a selector circuit 5 selects the output signal and supplies line information to an idle line selecting circuit 6. Based upon said line information and a signal from an off-hook detecting circuit 1, the idle line selecting circuit 6 checks whether the specified line is idle or busy from the busy idle information and, when the line concerned is idle, turns on one of switching elements 3 to connect between the line concerned and a telephone set 4. When the line selecting button is not depressed at the time of outgoing operation, the idle line selecting circuit 6 selects an optional idle line and turns of one of the switching elements 3 for connecting the selected line and the telephone set.
