Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable measuring of an elution rate in a short time, by a method wherein a composition component of a metal material radiated in water from a metal material contacting water is found from concentration in-water to measure a radiating rate. CONSTITUTION:The test piece of a material, for example, tube 1, on which an elution test is made, is placed in a test receptacle 2 whose temperature can be regulated, to measure the eluted amount of cobalt or the like in water from the inner surface of the tube. Sample water 4, in which dissolved oxygen concentration, hydrogen ion concentration are adjusted by a water adjusting tank 3, is fed to a test piece 1 through a valve 6 by a quantitative pump 5. Water passing the test piece 1 is drained through a valve 7, or returned to a water adjusting tank 3. Sample water, flowing from the test receptacle 2, is fed to a flow path switching valve 9 through a valve 8 by switching the valve 7. If the flow path switching valve 9 is switched to a flow path shown in a solid line, a buffer solution 10a pushes out a sample at the inside of a weighing coil 12 to feed it to a separating column 13, the solution is fed to a reaction coil 19 through a mixer 14, and a composition component is measured by an absorbance photometer 21 to record the result in a recorder 21.
