Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform fitting work of shaft in a hole by using a fluid under application of Bernoulli's equation. CONSTITUTION:One end of a wire 32 with low stiffness for bending and tortion is connected with a vertically movable arm 31 with a pin 33. At the other end of this wire 32, a shaft holding device 15 is fixed to grasp the shaft 6 with its one end. One end of a hose 35 is connected with one of the ends of a hole 7, whose other end the shaft 6 is fitted in, while the other end of this hose 35 is connected with a pump 36 to circulate the fluid. The speed of air flowing along the shaft 6 is accelerated, as the shaft 6 approaches the hole 7, under the condition that the rate of flow per unit time of the pump 36 is kept constant, and, at the same time, the moment, as the shaft 6 approaches the hole 7, becomes also large. Thus the shaft 6 can be fitted in the hole 7 easily.
