Abstract

PURPOSE:To machine the member in grinding finish with high accuracy by means of abrasive grain flow machining after associating a working electrode which has been used for discharge machining, with a member which has been machined under the same condition at the time of discharge machining. CONSTITUTION:Desired size of cavity 3 is formed at the desired part of a metal mold 2 by means of a spark erosion electrode 1. Then abrasive grain is passed through a void between the working electrode 1, a hole 8 which has been formed into an abrasive grain flow controller 6, and the cavity made by the discharge electrode 1 and by the metal mold 2, flowed to a space c on the side of a mover 10b, and to a working medium which has been filled into a space B in a cylinder 7 on the side of a mover 10a, and then the cavity of the metal mold 2 is ground using abrasive grain which has been flowed thereinto. After that, the working medium in the space c is flowed into the space B contrariwise by progress of the mover 10b in order to grind the cavity of the metal mold 2.
