Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the 0sec resetting with a one-touch operation for an electronic watch in which the second and minute hands are driven by different motors, by using a second position detecting circuit and a minute hand correcting circuit to set the second hand at the 0sec position with a one-touch operation as well as to give a correction to the minute hand. CONSTITUTION:When a crown 1 and a push-button 2 are pushed at one time, the 0sec resetting action starts. A main second counter circuit 14 counts the position of the second hand which is driven by the 2nd pulse motor 10 and set the motor 10 at the normal driving of 1Hz when it detect that the second hand indicated the 0sec position. The 1st pulse motor 9 which drives the hours hand is usually driven with each 20sec. In the 0sec resetting mode, a minute hand correcting circuit produces a correcting pulse to shift the minute hand onto the minute time in accordance with the movement of the circuit 14. Thus the minute hand is corrected to a correct minute time.
