Abstract

PURPOSE:To settle the diameter of a tube simply and freely, by guiding the tube extruded from a die into the circular vacant part of a cooling part and cooling the tube by making cooling water to overflow from the inner peripheral part of the cooling part. CONSTITUTION:The diameter of a circular vacant part 29 of a convertible part 3 positioned at the lower side of the cooling part 2 of a diameter settling mechanism 1 is varied by rotation of a rotating part 9 and cooling water is made to overflow from the inner peripheral part 4 of the cooling part 2 and flow down on each piece of an iris stop 25, then a tube (a) passing through the circular part 29 is cooled and its diameter is settled. Because the diameter of the circular vacant part 29 can be continuously varied in a certain range, a diameter of a tube (a) can be settled in that range simply and freely.
