CONSTITUTION:When a muting switch 11 is turned during the recording of a sound signal in order to form an unrecorded part on a tape, a transistor (TR) 12 turns on and at the output side of a bistable multivibrator 23, a high-level signal C and a low-level signal D appear to perform recording muting and to turn on an indicator by the output C. The time constant circuit 29 of a monostable multivibrator circuit 26 decides on a range where the unrecorded part is formed on the tape. A time constant circuit 32 connected to the input terminal of a bistable multivibrator circuit 24 stops the muting operation by an output terminal MI after the run of the tape is stopped through an output terminal P.
