Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to erase an arbitrary part on a recorded tape in a simple operation by causing the magnetic tape to pass through the erase head after the megnatic tape passes through the reproducing head.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetic tape 6 passes through editing erase head 7 after passing through reproducing head 3. Since high frequency oscillator 9 is connected to this head 7 through editing switch 8, magnetic tape 6 can be erased partially by closing switch 8. Consequently, tape 6 where data has been recorded is caused to run in a reproducing state and can be erased while listening to voice, etc., so that the start point and the end point of an erased part can be clarified. Further, when the interval between head 3 and head 7 is changed or a delay circuit is used because it is a slight delay after the start point of a part on tape 6 which should be erased passes through reproducing head 3 until the start point above reaches erase head 7, tape 6 can be erased partially more acurately.
