Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance and surface smoothness by using ferromagnetic iron powder which has an oxidation protective film on the surface and also has the amount of saturated magnetism with a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A base is painted with ferromagnetic alloy powder, which consists essentially of iron having a dense oxidation protective film on the surface while having a 90-135emu/g saturated magnetism amount, together with a resin binder, thus obtaining a magnetic recording medium.
