Abstract
PURPOSE:To compensate a dropout, etc., by delaying sound signals of respective channels relatively by certain time each when recording a video signal and multichannel sound signals on the same track. CONSTITUTION:The figure shows an arrangement relation among sound signals having been recorded, and also shows order at a one horizontal scanning (1H) period part. Part of one main track is shown therein, and a frequency-division multiplex signal of frequency-modulated sound signals of two channels and a composite color video signal is frequency-modulated and recorded, but only sound signals CH1 and CH2 are shown while the CH2 is delayed relatively behind the CH1 by 1H. A reproducing circuit is provided with a dropout detecting circuit and when a dropout is generated, the signal delayed by 1H is led out as a sound playback signal through a switching circuit.
