Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a variation of a room temperature and to improve air conditioning efficiency, by enabling proportional adjustment which is effective only when a device is in low capacity, in a titled air conditioner which is capable of changeover either to high capacity or to low capacity. CONSTITUTION:A main body A is formed of a suction opening 1, a blower 2, a heat exhanger 3 and a blowoff opening 4, and fuel pipes 6 and 9 having a valve 5 and a proportional valve 8 respectively are connected with burners 7 and 10 respectively. 11 is a blower for air supply and exhaust, 12 is a duct for air supply and exhaust and 13 is a room temperature detector. When a device is started at a room temperature lower than an established value, the valve 5 is opened and the proportional valve 8 becomes the maximum capacity position for combustion of both the burners 7 and 10. When the room temperature becomes close to the established value, an opening of the proportional valve 8 is adjusted according to a temperature difference with the established value, and when the room temperature reaches the established value the valve 5 is closed for operation of the burner 10 only. The above is the same as a cooling operation.
