Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure such a variable displacement type pump as simple in structure and excellent in efficiency, by synchronizing rotation of a cylinder block and that of an outer ring which eccentrically and loosely fits together by means of an Oldham's coupling so as to surround the cylinder block. CONSTITUTION:In a space between a cylinder block 5 and an outer ring's blockading part 6b, the cylinder block 5 and the outer ring 6 are synchronously rotated, i.e., both opposite faces rotate in a state of keeping paralleled, while an Oldham's coupling 7 is loosely fitted so as to make an amount of eccentricity between them alterable. When a lever 17 is operated in rotation, a body proper 16 of an eccentric drive shaft 16 is turned round so that a boss 16b is shifted. With this shift, an eccentric drive unit 13 is made to rotate around a holding shaft 14, thereby altering the amount of eccentricity between the cylinder block 5 and the outer ring 6; pump discharge is thus changed.
