Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve both controllability of an engine and acceleration at the starting of a car, in a boost compensator for operating a supercharge stroke of a control rack in a fuel injection pump, by decreasing operational force applied to a manual excess lever. CONSTITUTION:A fuel excess button or the like is pressed at starting, if a manual excess lever 13 is turned in the direction of an arrow head, an engaging hook 14 causes a main lever 4 to turn about a shaft 5 as a supporting point, and a push rod 8 is moved leftward while compressing a start excess cancelling spring 11 and displaced to a position of two-dot chain line (fuel excess position). Further simultaneously, a control lever, not shown in the drawing, is turned to a full lever position, and a control rack 1 in a fuel injection pump P is moved to an increasing direction. And then an engine increases its rotation, if boost pressure is fed into a chamber 6, the push rod 8 is moved leftward by a diaphragm 7 against springs 10', 11, and a supercharge stroke of fuel meeting a quantity of supercharge can be obtained.
