Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an electrically conductive resin compsn. producing molded products which have good adhesion to plating and can be electroplated directly, prepared by adding carbon black, sulfur and trithiocyanuric acid to a thermosetting resin consisting of a phenolic resin and a base material. CONSTITUTION:The compsn, consists of 100pts.wt. thermosetting resin consisting of a phenolic resin and a base materials 5-30pts.wt. carbon black, 0.1- 6pts.wt. sulfur and 0.1-5pts.wt. trithiolcyanuric acid. Conductive carbon black is esp. preferred for its high electric conductivity. The compsn. contg. carbon black in more than 30pts.wt. becomes too hard and shows poor flow in molding and when the carbon black content is less than 5pts.wt., the compsn. has too high an electric resistance and poor platability. The tritiolcyanuric acid is indispensable to obtain homogeneous good adhesion to plating.
