Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. having uniform rubber layer and low air permeability, prepared by adding specified amounts of polynorbornene rubber and halogenated butyl rubber to a base rubber.
CONSTITUTION: Polynorbornene rubber and halogenated butyl rubber are added in amounts of 5W45 and 5W80pts.wt., respectively, to 100pts.wt. base rubber. The halogenated butyl rubber pref. has a halogen content of 1.0W2.0wt% and preferred are chlorinated butyl rubber with chlorine content of 1.0W1.5wt%, brominated butyl rubber with bromine content of 1.8W2.0wt% and mixt. thereof. For improved processibility and dimentional stability, natural rubber, polyisoprene rubber, polybutadiene rubber etc. may be added in an amount of about 50pts.wt. or less per 100pts.wt. total rubber.
