Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable efficient, safe automatic control of box bending of a plate without causing damage on products by combining a slanted frame stand provided with a material receiving stand on the upper face, a follow-up device having an elevating stand and a lower die that can go up and down. CONSTITUTION:A plate support and follow-up device 1 is provided with a stand 13 movable on a rail 5 installed on a base plate 3. Above it, there is an elevating frame stand 29 supported by a cross-link mechanism 37 consisting of two sets of links connected by a center shaft 39 and enabled to go up and down by an elevating mechanism provided with a pulse motor, not shown in the figure, and a resolver through a screw head 55. The device also has a frame 81 in which a double pantagraph mechanism 59 consisting of four sets of links having shafts 69, 71, 73, 75 and an inclined driving mechanism are incorporated. A slanted frame stand 31 having a material receiving stand 79 on the upper face is provided. Up and down movement of lower die 133 of lower apron 123 of a press brake is controlled by signals of a pulse transmitter 129 together with operation of the elevating stand 29 and slanted frame stand 31.
