Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the sure braking for a conveyed body, by using linear motors to decelerate the body at the same rates as acceleration. CONSTITUTION:In an equipment in which a conveyed body 4 is put on a pallet 3 and conveyed on rollers 5 by linear motors 1, 2, the motor 1 is used for acceleration and another motor 2 is used for braking, namely for accelerating in the opposite direction. The equipment is operated depending on the output of a detector 8. The pallet 3 is caused to collide against a stopper 7 and is stopped. Normally, the pallet 3 is accelerated for a time TA-1 shown at 15 and is decelerated for a time TB-1 shown at 16 after passing of the detector 8. When the conveyed body 4 is light, acceleration and deceleration are effected as shown at 20. In that case, the acceleration and deceleration are effected as shown at 10', 11' depending on the weight of the conveyed body lest it should stop halfway. The conveyed body 4 is thus accelerated and decelerated depending on its weight.
