Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase both the speed and the range for the shunt of a load arm, by setting the connecting part with a head load arm holding a disket cover between and opposed to a head arm at a prescribed position. CONSTITUTION:A head arm holds a disket cover 55 and then shifts a head in the radius direction of a disk recording medium in response to the rotation of the recording medium. A head load arm 48 contains a pressure exerting projected part at its tip to perform a pad function. A connecting part 47 to the head arm of the arm 48 is set between the center of a rotary shaft 57 of the cover 55 and the projected part at the tip of the arm 48. Thus the arm 48 rotates quickly with a large angle via the cover 55 when this cover is opened. As a result, the shunting speed of the head load arm is increased with the increase of the shunting range. Thus a disk magnetic recording medium can be loaded and/or unloaded in an easy and quick way.
