Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the restart of reproduction at the signal groove as it was before a stylus had been raised up by a pause mode, by giving the process control to the shift of the stylus based on the stored demodulated groove number. CONSTITUTION:The groove number information among the reproduced signals supplied from the signal groove on a disk 1 and detected by a pickup 2 is stored in the storing part of a microprocessor 9 via a signal processor 7 and a stylus position signal demodulating circuit 18. The contents of this storage is compared with the demodulated number information that is detected in the same way when the reproduction is restarted after a pause. Then the process control is given to an arm motor driving circuit 10, etc. via the processor 9, and a pickup 2 is positioned. Accordingly, the reproduction can be started at the signal groove as it was before the stylus had been raised up by the pause mode.
