Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the stable compensation of the skew with a simple constitution and although the S/N of the reproduced video signal is low, by providing a blind sector for the detection of the skew error voltage by means of two sets of comparators having different levers of reference voltage. CONSTITUTION:The phase of the reproduced horizontal synchronizing signal and the reference horizontal synchronizing signal are compared through a phase comparator 12. Then the circuit 12 produces an output of a level corresponding to the degree of the skew. This output is compared between the 1st and 2nd comparators 14 and 15 to which the high and low level reference signals are set. When the output of the circuit 12 is set lower than the reference level of the comparator 14 and higher than the reference signal of the comparator 15 respectively, an up-down counter 16 counts down or up the clocks. Thus the tension of a tape receives the feedback control in accordance with the skew. A blind sector is provided for the detection of the skew error voltage. As a result, the stable compensation is possible for the skew although the S/N of the reproduced video signal is low to produce the noise, etc.
