Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the damping effect when an objective lens is driven in a 2-dimensional way, by setting a continuous vent hole foaming member as a damper into a space between an objective lens holding frame and a driving means so as to extend in the direction of displacement of the objective lens. CONSTITUTION:A holding frame 2 which holds an objective lens 1 is held by a pair of plate springs 4a and 4b which are set symmetrically to a plane extending toward the information track through the optical axis of the lens 1. Thus the frame can have a displacement toward an arrow (b). The mobile members 32a and 32b of high permeability are stuck to the frame 2 and move toward an arrow (b) by flowing a current to two sets of coils 35a and 35b plus 38a and 38b of the driving means which act together with the mobiles 32a and 32b. Thus the response characteristics of the members 32a and 32b can be enhanced since the foamed rubbers 36a and 36b are attached to the side of the permanent magnets 34a and 34b that extend toward the displacement direction (b) of the lens 1.
