PURPOSE:To simplify a driving device, and to move an optical system backward faster than forward, by making the phase energizing of a pulse motor, which moves the optical system forth and back, different. CONSTITUTION:When a rotational direction specifying signal shows a postive direction, an energizing switching circuit 33 regards the energizing system of a pulse motor 25 as 1-2 phase energizing of forward rotation. When a backward direction, 2-phase energizing of reverse rotation is decided, and the energizing switching of the motor 25 is performed according to an energizing clock pulse. Consequently, a driving circuit 34 drives the motor 25 according to the energizing switching. With regard to the 1-2 phase energizing and 2-phase energizing, the rotational speeds of the motor 25 are at 1:2, so an optical system consisting of mirrors 4 and 5, etc., returns at a speed twice as fast as forward drive. Thus, the driving device is simplified, and the backward movement of the optical system is made faster than the forward movement.
