Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the device which occupies a small space and does not accept noises and change in environment, by optically transmitting flash light, irradiating light receiving elements, and detecting the light emittance of a flash lamp. CONSTITUTION:The flash light of the flash lamp is transmitted by light transmitting bodies and irradiated on the light receiving elements. Thus the light emittance or the amount of the light emittance of the flash lamp is detected. For example, in a fixing device of a copying device, the flash lamp 4 is provided at the center of a reflecting plate 3. As the light transmitting bodies, optical cables 5, 6, and 7 comprising optical fibers 8 and metallic or resinous plugs 9 which are connected to the ends of the fibers are used. The flash light is detected by the plugs 9 of the optical cables 5, 6, and 7, irradiated on the light receiving elements through the optical fibers 8, and detected.
