Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled safety device surely actuating at abnormal heating by a method wherein a packing with T-shape section is provided at the tip of a valve held by a substance with low melting point at fixed position so that the horizontal part of the packing is opposite to a valve hole and the vertical part of the packing is pressed into the fitting hole of said valve. CONSTITUTION:Combustible gas led by a piping enters from the burner inlet 43 of a mouth piece 42 sealed with a burner packing 44, passes through the slits 54 of the substance with low melting point 53 and through the valve port 47 of a valve seat 46 into a filter 49. After being cleansed at the filter 49, the gas is jetted out of the opening of an orifice 45. The valve 50 equipped with the packing 51 having a nearly T-shape section is fitted to the burner mouth piece 42 in such state that the valve 50 is kept pushed by a valve spring 52 and held apart from the valve seat 46 by pressing the substance 53 in between the valve 50 and the mouth piece 42. When a temperature raises abnormally, the substance 53 melts and the valve 50 is pushed outward by means of the valve spring 52. As a result, the packing 51 of the valve 50 covers the valve port 47, resulting in stopping the influx of the gas.
