Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the disorder of a speed chaging operation due to biting of the piece of movable pulley against a transmission shaft by a method wherein the piece of movable pulley is slided into the axial direction of the transmission shaft and is advanced or retreated with respect to the piece of fixed pulley. CONSTITUTION:The piece of fixed pulley 2 is attached to the rotating transmission shaft 1 by securing and coupling it while the piece of movable pulley 3, opposing to the piece of fixed pulley 2, is attached to the extended section 21 of a boss section 20 for the fixed pulley 2 by inserting it to the outer peripheral surface of the extended section so as to be movalbe on a sliding surface into the axial and rotational directions with respect to the transmission shaft 1. A coil spring 5 is interposed between the piece of movable pulley 3 and a spring support member 4, fixed to the end of the extended section 21, while another coil spring W, to urge the piece of movable pulley 3 into the rotational direction with respect to the transmission shaft 1 is also interposed. One end of the coil spring W is engaged into the rotational diretion with respect to an engaging section 6 provided on the piece of movable pulley 3 while the other end thereof is engaged into the rotational direction with respect to the engaging section 6 provided on a spring support member 4.
