Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to print a normal temperature and enhance print quality, by a method wherein a diazo base heat-sensitive recording material comprising a diazo compound, a coupler and a heat-fusible substance is printed thereon by using an oxidative polymerization type ink. CONSTITUTION:A diazo base heat-sensitive recording medium comprising, for example, a diazo compound such as one of the formula, a coupler such as 2,6- dihydroxy-3,4-dibromo-4-methoxybenzoic acid, and a heat-fusible substance (preferably having a melting point or a softening point of 50-250 deg.C) such as stearamide is provided on a base such as paper. The recording medium is printed thereon by using an oxidative polymerization type ink which preferably has a pH of 8 or below and a blue or purple color. An example of the ink is a deep blue colored ink liquid comprising Milori blue as an inorganic pigment, linseed oil or a phenolic resin as varnish, a cobalt soap as a drier, and toluene.
