Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of thermal invasion, by providing a supporting structure of low thermal conductivity to receive compression between extremely low temperatures and intermediate cooling temperatures, and providing a supporting structure of metal to receive tension between intermediate cooling temperatures and ordinary temperatures. CONSTITUTION:An inner tank 3 of extremely low temperature container constitute a closed tank. A superconductive coil 6 and a frame 7 are supported under tank. The inner tank 3 is supported to an intermediate supporting disc 12 cooled at intermediate cooling temperatures by a supporting tube 11 composed of a mateial extremely lower in thermal conductivity than a metal. The supporting disc 12 is supported to an outer tank flange 2 by a supporting tube 13 composed of a metal. A radiation shield plate consists of a radiation shield plate 4 and the intermediate supporting disc 12.
