Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive an improvement of waste heat recovery performance and compactness of an instrument, by a method wherein a part of an exhuast cylinder of a heater/hot water supply device of two-boiler two-water type is so constituted that exhaust gas can be flowed laterally, and an auxiliary heat exchanger is provided on the part of the exhaust cylinder, underneath of which is provided with a drain receptacle. CONSTITUTION:A hot water supply function part in a two-boiler two-water type heater/ hot water supply device discharges gas burnt by a gas burner 8 through a lateral exhaust cylinder 12 by making the gas pass through a main heat exchanger 9, an exhaust cylinder 10 and an auxiliary heat exchanger 11, and after transmission of its heat to water which flows to a hot water supply duct 17 from a water supply duct 15. In this instance, the auxiliary heat exchanger 11 which has been provided conventionally in the exhaust cylinder 10 is provided in the lateral exhaust cylinder 12, and a drain receptacle 18 is located underneath the exhaust cylinder. With this, the burnt exchaust gas is made to flow laterally, drain water from the auxiliary heat exchanger 11 is made to flow in a gravity direction (downward flow) for excellent drainage at a fin part of the auxiliary heat exchanger, and reheating by the exhaust gas is prevented and reduction of a heat loss is attained.
